About Us
Jake
began his career in the auction business at the age of 13 when he was offered a job
sorting cattle in the back of the small livestock auction in his home town of Creswell,
Oregon. In High School as part of a school project, he organized and sold a benefit
auction for his graduating senior class. He began his professional career shortly there
after, when he attended Western
College of Auctioneering in Billings, Montana in 1993. He then spent the next eight
years working as an apprentice auctioneer for some of Oregon’s largest auctions
companies. In early 1999 He founded Pacific International Auctions and began to grow
his business doing small farm and equipment sales. Recently, Jake earned his GPPA Appraisers
certification and began to conduct USPAP certified appraisals for his clients. As owner/auctioneer/appraiser
you can expect to find Jake active in every aspect of his auctions from finding and
securing consignments, sale organization and management to customer service and satisfaction
before during and after the sale.
Jake has always believed that the customer’s success at any auction begins with
the auctioneer. The auctioneer’s salesmanship, professionalism and bid calling
skill will determine the success of the auction. Jake has always strived to provide
bid calling excellence in a fun and friendly atmosphere at his auctions. He has competed
in numerous auctioneering championships, including the 2000 and 2001 World Livestock
Auctioneer championships as well as the 2004 and 2005 NAA International Auctioneering
Championship. The Oregon Auctioneers Association has twice honored Jake by naming him
the 2003 and 2005 Oregon Grand Champion Auctioneer.
